Good news for all cycling enthusiasts: We're launching our iconic design in a Tour de France version that jumps and cheers for tailwinds and lots of excitement in the field. May we present: The yellow driver Hoptimist – and 3,500 kilometres of smiles. H 10.5 cm, D 7.5 cm With a strong belief in the power of smiles, Gustav Ehrenreich in the late 1960s created his happy Hoptimist movement. The goal was to create a character that was an eternal reminder to stay positive and optimistic. For although the 1960s are often referred to as "The Happy '60s," the decade was marked by unrest. Therefore, Ehrenreich's design was a welcome joy spreader in an otherwise turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble represent the very first Hoptimists from the designer's hand: a dress-clad girl with smiling eyes and an attentive boy with a split on his head. Today, the happy Hoptimists are part of Danish design history and create joy around the world.
