The simple, perfectly symmetrical design of Ruutu (Finnish for ‘diamond’) from creators Ronan and Erwan Boroullec belies the extensive process behind making the mouthblown glass vase. Each special vase takes seven of the best craftsmen at the Iittala Glass Factory a total of 24 hrs to produce. The intricate process includes each piece being mouthblown into a steel mould and then hand polished. A true masterpiece. Winner of the iF and Red Dot design awards.
