The Pyykki (laundry) print recalls a memory of a summery moment when freshly washed laundry is flapping outside in the wind. Inspired by the familiar, random aesthetic of the laundry day, Jenni Tuominen first drew the shapes of the pattern on a piece of paper, then cut them out, painted them with opaque paint and composed them into a rhythmic design in which delicate brush strokes are paired with the paper cutting technique.
